Hyundai E&C announced on Tuesday, October 27, that its residential brand, Hillstate, had won the top prize in the construction category at the 2026 Korea SNS Awards.
The Korea SNS Awards were established in 2011 to identify companies and organizations that communicate actively with their customers and to foster a healthy culture of social media use. Winners are chosen based on how they run their social media channels, including blogs, Instagram, and YouTube, through a quantitative evaluation, expert jury evaluation, and a public vote. The awards are hosted by the Korea Social Contents Promotion Association and sponsored by the Ministry of Science and ICT.
Hillstate earned high marks in the evaluation for its approach to content management, which encourages direct resident participation, and its customer-centric communication strategy. Rather than simply sharing brand news, Hillstate has introduced a wide range of content reflecting residential culture and everyday life, steadily expanded opportunities for residents to participate and built a communication system that resonates with customers. Through these efforts, Hillstate is fostering a culture of participatory content shaped jointly by the brand and its customers, further strengthening its distinctive brand value.
Hillstate’s official YouTube channel, “Hills Casting,” places a strong emphasis on resident participation. As its name suggests, the channel puts residents in the spotlight, featuring their personal stories and everyday activities while providing a platform for them to share their experiences and connect with the brand.
One of the channel’s flagship series, “Hills Leader,” is a long-term initiative designed to support customers in pursuing their dreams and ambitions. In its first season, participants spent approximately five months producing audiobooks, while the second season featured an eight-month independent filmmaking project, giving participants opportunities to explore their creative potential. The making of the completed independent film is documented on the Hillscasting YouTube channel.
Another popular series, “Hills Club” (aka Hillsman Season 3)”, highlights resident clubs at Hillstate complexes across the country, supporting their activities and sharing the stories and sense of community that develop along the way. Rather than relying on elaborate production or celebrity appearances, the series focuses on the genuine interests, experiences, and interactions of residents, striking a chord with a broad audience.
The third season of “Hills Man,” released this year, has averaged 140,000 views per episode, a 200 percent increase over the previous season. The strong performance reflects growing audience interest in stories about neighbors and community activities, underscoring the series’ ability to forge meaningful connections with viewers.
A Hyundai E&C official said, “This award is especially meaningful because it recognizes the sincerity of our engagement with customers, rather than simply our subscriber counts or video views.” The official added, “As Hillstate celebrates the 20th anniversary of its launch, we will continue to connect with customers through content created with residents and further strengthen our position as a leading lifestyle brand.”
Hillstate continues to feature a range of resident-driven content, including “Hillsman” and “Hills Leader,” alongside brand updates on its official YouTube channel, “Hills Casting” (https://www.youtube.com/@Hillstate_official). The content is available on the Hills Casting channel.
