Green Smart Innovation Center
The Green Smart Innovation Center (GSIC) is a facility for researching eco-friendly and energy-saving technologies. The GSIC is designed and built with various advanced technologies, such as the smart BEMS (Building Energy Management System) developed independently by Hyundai Engineering & Construction for the first time among construction companies in Korea, which can integrate and operate micro energy grids in buildings to reduce total energy use. Hyundai E&C designed and established the GSIC in order to actively devise responses with regard to the concepts of “green buildings” and “smart buildings” as areas of rising importance. The GSIC embodies more than 100 eco-friendly, energy-saving technologies and about 60 intellectual property technologies for minimizing the use of fossil energy and environmental loads throughout the building’s lifecycle.
