THE H Xi Gaepo was designed to reconstruct the Gaepo Jugong Apartment Complex 8 into a large-scale, branded apartment complex consisting of 15 apartment buildings of up to 35 floors above ground and four basement levels. Hyundai E&C will mark a milestone in the construction of transportation infrastructure. Hyundai E&C consortium has been chosen as the preferred bidder for the GTX (Great Train eXpress)-C Line connecting Deokjeong and Suwon in Gyeonggi-do, the area surrounding the capital Seoul, in recognition of Hyundai E&C's technological prowess and construction capability. The selection of the preferred bidder is expected to accelerate the GTX-C Line project.
Hyundai E&C consortium has achieved high points in the entire category including design conformity and financing. The consortium led by Hyundai E&C is composed of Hanwha E&C, Taeyoung E&C, Dongbu E&C, Ssangyong E&C, KB, Woori Bank and Kyobo Life Insurance.
The GTX Line serves as an express railway connecting major spots between the metropolitan area and the capital. Among the lines, Line C will run through from north to south in the metropolitan province by linking the Deokjeong Station to the Suwon Station in Gyeonggi-do. The GTX-C Line project, valued at 4.3857 trillion won, aims to build a 74.8-kilometer railway.
In addition to 10 key stations announced by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Hyundai E&C consortium suggested the construction of two additional stations including the Indeokwon Station and the Wangsimni Station. The inclusion of the two stations in the GTX-C Line would significantly improve accessibility of residents out of the capital to the downtown Seoul. The MOLIT plans to enter into negotiations within this month and conclude a concession agreement at the end of this year.

Hyundai E&C has completed the development of “H Silent Home System I,” a high-performance floor structure system, which led Hyundai E&C's construction site to achieve a certificate for floor soundproof structure, the first of its kind in the domestic construction industry. The system was developed jointly with Hyundai E&C's partner company specializing in floor soundproof, and a relevant patent was already registered.
H Silent Home System I refers to a floor structure system using high-performance resilient materials. The use of high-performance noise insulation materials, which are effective in reducing noise and absorbing shocks, can decrease natural frequency of floor structure and block transfer of low-frequency vibrations in an effective way.


 4  Covid-19 prevention products donated

Hyundai E&C sets out to provide a wide range of corporate social responsibility activities for residents in local communities with the hope of early overcoming the coronavirus crisis.
As part of celebrating the foundation anniversary, Hyundai E&C contributed about 4,000 face masks to the Gahoe-dong community service center on May 27 jointly with the labor union. The donated face masks were delivered to elderly residents in the district who are reluctant to go out due to the current pandemic.
On June 14, Hyundai E&C donated about 16,000 face masks, mask neck straps and handmade soaps to the Jongno community welfare center in order to help underprivileged people living in the district overcome the Covid-19 pandemic.

Hyundai E&C has announced a new system aimed to pay a half of safety management expenses in advance. It was designed to enable Hyundai E&C's subcontractors to focus on safety management without financial burdens through early payment of 50 percent of the contractual safety management expenses. 
Meanwhile, Hyundai E&C provides the industry’s best win-win programs for Hyundai E&C's subcontractors by helping them to raise funds at a lower interest rate, normalize their management affected by Covid-19 and increase liquidity.
